So this is why 🙂
an agent can only run one Task at a time.
The HPO (being a Task on its own) should run on the "services" queue, where the agent can run multiple "cpu controller" Tasks like the HPO.
Make sense ?
Erm i'm not sure if the pics show what you mean. but essentially the hpo is running on the hpopt queue and my worker "fixitfelix" is assigned to the queue and is supposedly running the experiment already
Hi AverageBee39
Did you setup an agent to execute the actual Tasks ?
Is the agent idle ? it is running something else ?
Hey Martin, thanks for the reply. I did set up an agent and the reference template task runs perfectly fine on the worker. I only encounter this problem with the hyper parameter tuning experiments
Check on which queue the HPO puts the Tasks, and if the agent is listening to these queues
Does it say it runs something ?
(on the workers tab on the agents table it should say which Task it is running)
You can just spin another agent on the same machine 🙂
right right hahah got the terms wrong i assumed the agent meant a single machine. Thanks a lot Martin! saved me some extra time 🙏
ahhhh i see...so if i were to logically split a single agent into multiple queues would that allow me to run more tasks?
This is the parent task...shown in the pic of the experiment list above
yea the agent appears idle based on utilisation. It's actually my laptop beside me...
