WobblyCrab70 sure, put a load-balancer in between, AWS has a solution for that basically use the AMI from the GitHub and ask IT to add https on the 8080/8008/8081 ports
thanks 🙂 looks like port opening caused an IT event... this will be a setback. Thanks for all the help!
Is it possible to convert the server to be accessed by https?
If you configure your network correctly (in AWS, for example, using ELB), sure. See https://allegro.ai/docs/deploying_trains/trains_server_config/#sub-domains-and-load-balancers
can the server be configured easily to work over https rather than http?
Hi WobblyCrab70 , this looks looks like some firewall/access issue from the WebApp (meaning the remote machine) to the Trains API server (running in port 8008)
So basically, port 8080 is open for external access, but port 8008 (and possibly 8081) are not. Check your firewall settings to make sure.
