As for experimenting, I'd say (and this community can be my witness 🙂 ) that managing your own experiments isn't a great idea. First, you have to maintain the infra (whatever it is, a tool your wrote yourself, or an excel sheet) which isn't fun and consumes time. From what I've heard, it usually takes at least 50% more time than what you initially think. And since there are so many tools out there that do it for free, then the only reason I can imagine of doing it on your own would be if y...

ZanyPig66 , the 2 agents can run from the same ubuntu account and use the same clearml.conf. if you want each to have its own configuration file just add --config-file PATH_TO_CONF_FILE and it would take another config file. Makes sense?

Hmm, can you give a small code snippet of the save code? Are you using a wandb specific code? If so it makes sense we don't save it as we only intercept torch.save() and not wandb function calls

Hi TenseOstrich47 What you can do is report the metric to clearml, then use the Taskscheduler to listen on a specific project. If a task in this project reports a metric below \ above a certain TH (Or I think if it's the highest \ lowest as well) you can trigger an event (Task \ function). That's how you do it with the Taskscheduler object

I think there was a slight mixup between our automatic logging (let's say, when you report images to tensorboard and ClearML just automatically captuers it and logs it) to explicitly reporting images (with the Logger object)

You get all the features that are available for the hosted version such as experiment management, orchestration (with ClearML agent), data management (with ClearML Data), model serving (with ClearML serving) and more 🙂

That said, what is your plan for integration of the tools? automatically promote models to be served from within clearml?

I added this to the requirements (You can put the extra-index-url in the clearml.conf), and I've enabled the torch nightly flag:

So I think it's necessary to code defensively and once training is done, upload to a remote location (S3 in your case). If disc is persistent this should be a problem as the logs will be saved. Makes sense?

To add to Natan's answer, you can run on the services docker anything depending on the HW. We don't recommend training with it as the server's machine might get overloaded. What you can do is simple stuff like cleanup or any other routines 🙂

Hadrien, just making sure I get the terminology, stopped instance meaning you don't pay for it, but just its storage, right? Or is it up and idling (and then Martin's suggestion is valid)? Do you get stopped instances instantely when you ask for them?
