Hi there! We've recently started to explore the dataset page in the enterprise version and the corresponding hyperdatasets. However, we are using 3D image data in hd5 format. Is there any way to visualize either a slice of the 3D data or visualize it as video? Thank you!

Hi SourDolphin31
so either add a preview to the 3D source with any Browser supported image or video. or add a 2nd source

Yes, a preview is how you add the slice

Hey, sorry to ask again, but do you know how exactly the file structure in the hdf5 file has to be? I have tried adding a slice to the file under the group "preview" but it does not show it as preview..

Hi Sarah, Yes! These are good options 🙂 What you can do with hyperdatasets is visualize a slice (or video) in any format your browser knows how to display natively (png \ jpg \ tiff). What you can also do is that every hyperdataset frame can have a link to the original 3D data, as well as single (or multiple) visualized sources. That way you can browse all your slices but still connect them to the 3D data. Once you use hyperdataset management connected to your experiment you'll be able to use the 3D data. Hope that's clear 😄

How does clearml detect a preview or thumbnail associated with a file? e.g. if we would add a ['preview'] group into the .hdf5 file (containing a png / tiff /.. image), would it be able to find it?
