When I Send A Request Of Creating A User To Clearml-Apiserver, It Logs An Error Likes This:

@<1523701205467926528:profile|AgitatedDove14>
When I send a request of creating a user to ClearML-APIServer, it logs an error likes this:

[2022-05-17 09:34:13,337] [8] [WARNING] [clearml.service_repo] Returned 400 for auth.create_user in 7ms, msg=Value combination already exists:

I search the error in ClearML-Server source codes, and find out that this error may come up when userid existed in backend.

raise errors.bad_request.UserIdExists(id=user_id)
source codes:

So I delete this user in user collection of auth database as well as user collection of backend. However, this error comes up again when I create the same user.

How can I solve this problem?

Tips:

  • ClearML-Server: 1.0.2

I check it with the following result:

action:

auth.create_user

mongo:

see picture

apiserver logs:
`[2022-05-17 10:02:50,024] [8] [WARNING] [clearml.service_repo] Returned 400 for auth.create_user in 8ms, msg=Value combination already exists: email=

And are you using an email that does not exist in the server?

And there is a user there already with the same email?

@<1523704089874010112:profile|FloppyDeer99> how exactly are you creating the user? the uniqueness is for the user's email in the company

@<1523704089874010112:profile|FloppyDeer99> , can you try upgrading your server? It appears to be pretty old version.

When looking at the user in MongoDB, is it some special user or just something regular?

hey @<1523704089874010112:profile|FloppyDeer99>
did you manage to get rid of your issue ?
thanks

Also, please note auth.create_user will only create an auth user - this is part of the server's internal process and is not a complete user

no, I just suspend this issue.

I am sure that I delete this user in auth.user and backend.user before call auth.create_user

Posted 2 years ago

but it's still there... can you try to delete again? Also, is this a new company?

About unique.
